Hi Barbara -
FANTASTIC comments you have made here. I'm almost tempted to write a whole new blog post on it; so, forgive me if I run a little long :-)

I wish that I could bottle up your sentiment and send it to some of my friends and family members. It truly will be people such as yourself who address and bring these issues to light - even in the grocery store! - that will bring about positive change to our country.

It is one nation under God whether the left likes it or not :-)

I have many friends 'on the fence' between conservatism and liberalism. Some have voted for Obama...and some have not. What really bugs me is that all of them state the conservatives are 'angry'. We're not angry! We are merely frustrated at being misrepresented by the media (which, most of them listen to the garbage from CNN, MSNBC, and Newsweek) and at the destruction of our country.

*Sigh*

We don't hate Obama. But, as you say, the more and more we see from him the harder and harder it becomes to sit back and watch the expansion of a liberal government. First, it was banks. Then, it was a large part of our manufacturing (Gov't Motors) and now it's our health care.

All I would like is to see the facts - the truth - properly represented for all to see.

Maybe I'll ask for it for Christmas :-)

Kind Regards,
RR

What is astounding to me are the thousands of Obama backers who are absolutely oblivious to the consequences of his health care plan. I was talking to a woman earlier today in the grocery store about it. When I made mention of the fact that if you cannot or simply do not purchase health care insurance, then you will be fined and jailed, her jaw dropped wide open. Her reply, sadly, was that of many others like her that have fallen victim to Obama's "good guy" mirage. She said, "Wow...I didn't know that. I thought Obama was a nice man. He said he wanted to make a change." My reply to her was, "Unfortunately, you are not the only one who has fallen for his deceiving smile, and crafty song and dance. He promises change. The scary thing is...What kind of change are you going to get?" Things can ALWAYS get worse my friends. Change isn't always good. But we are not defeated. We can always take back what is rightfully ours through our freedoms. We still have the freedom of speech...for however much longer it will last. We need to utilize it and educate the masses. We are after all, ladies and gentlemen, "One country under God...Indivisible...with Liberty and Justice for all!" It is time that we act like it.

...On a personal note....
No. I did not vote for Obama. But I don't hate him. I have to honestly say that I was hoping that he would make some better changes in our country. There is always room for improvement somewhere. However, after seeing where he is taking our nation, my distaste for his leadership has become more bitter. We should never feel like we don't have control of our lives and freedoms...and that's what I am starting feel like. I know that I'm not alone. Even so, I do not advocate violence against this man. Just thought I would share and clarify where I am coming from.
